Welcome to Studio Miyabi... Home of "The Nutcracker Collection" ballet watercolor art and so much more! A gallery space of original ballet watercolor art by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff Mitzi Sato-Wiuff is a Colorado based artist and a dance teacher who, beginning in summer of 2001, started combining her love of art and her passion for ballet into creating ballet-themed watercolor art collections to share with other ballet and dance enthusiasts all over the world. Her original web site "Studio Miyabi presents the Nutcracker Collection" was launched in October of 2001 and offered greeting card collecitons and matted prints via mail order. Since then, Studio Miyabi has expanded to include multiple ballet art collections, and in September of 2005, her online store Studio Miyabi Ballet Gift Shop was launched with less than 100 gift items. It has since grown to offer over 1,600 gifts, art prints and apparel for ballet and dance students, professionals, teachers and fans of all ages.

Please view the web design page for more detail and pricing. | Artist/Dancer/Teacher Mitzi is the Artist in Residence and a faculty member who teaches ballet and jazz at the Institute of Dancing Arts in Grand Junction, Colorado. She is also a teacher of her native Japanese language both in private sessions and in classroom settings. She is currently teaching at the Creative Avenues in Grand Junction, Colorado at beginning and intermediate levels. Since she has lived in U.S. for over 20 years, she does not have an accent when speaking English. Yet she fully retains the knowledge of written and spoken Japanese, so her classes are easy for the American students to understand and enjoy. She has also made herself available to present a one-hour lecture on Japan about the culture and the language to the area schools upon individual teacher's requests. Her presentations are fun and informative, with a flexible, open format to allow students questions as well as discussions.
